Itineraries

WICKLOW – THE GARDENS OF IRELAND

Located just south of Dublin, Wicklow can be many operators first foray into Ireland but that doesn’t mean it hasn’t to be revisit and updated. Still as popular as ever this ‘low mileage’ Irish tour never fails to delight with its splendid and contrasting scenery.

DAY 1
Arrive in Dublin via the ferry from Holyhead, arriving at your hotel in the late afternoon with time for a welcome drink before dinner.

DAY 2
A day of contrasts as we compare the wilds of the Wicklow mountains to the famous Powerscourt Estate with its pristinely manicured lawns and gardens. We continue to Glendalough a place which it is claimed will ‘still your mind, inspire your heart and fill your soul’ such is the beauty of the valley of the two lakes.

DAY 3
An excursion to Kildare and an opportunity to visit the Irish National Stud with its Japanese Gardens. Owned by the people, but enjoyed by the world at large the National Stud is the heart beat of Ireland’s thoroughbred industry and his home not only to some of the world’s most magnificent horses, but to some amazing gardens that demonstrate the impact of west meeting east.

DAY 4
Why not round off your tour with a visit to Ireland’s bustling capital. A half day guided tour or even a river cruise on the Liffey would give your clients a fascinating insight to Dublin’s character and history.

DAY 5
Return to Holyhead would be aboard the morning ferry out of Dublin port.
