The Grianan Aileach Centre tells the story of the fort and there is a more modern Glenveagh Castle in Glenveagh National Park.

The Triona Design Centre shows how ‘Donegal Tweed’ is prepared, one of the many cottage industries in the area. County Donegal has a rich variety of attractions with which to explore Irelands History and heritage. Donegal’s castles, abbeys, ancient burial grounds, interpretative centres and historic towns offer something for all visitors, be it the raw beauty of the Ards Forest and Glenveagh Castle and National Park or the stunning un spoilt beaches of Rossnowlagh and Portnoo. 

Visit some of the world famous craft villages, including china manufacturing, tweeds, knitwear and pottery, or simply ramble round the many places of historic interest.
